  • IFIS --- www.ifis-freiburg.de - Methodologist, now retired (maintenant retraité - mais pas du tout passif)

2008 - maintenant My professional life started in architecture and expanded into planning and urban design, partly in big international projects. There I experienced the massive contradictions in today's 'official' line of thought, which produce unnecessary conflict. Think for instance of the aims in policy-making, the few positive achievements it allows, and the many negative side effects produced unintentionally. This complex of problems motivated me to go back to university for meditating on integral ways of thinking. In 2010 I delivered a PhD on systematic integral methodology, developing an approach without the 'blind spot' and hence implicit self-limitations of "integral theory" (as with Ken Wilber, Andrew Cohen, etc.). The proposed approach offers a secure heuristics and is applicable to any scientific topic or field. In my studies there are emphases on physics, biology, society and the economy, mentioning the geosciences as an endeavour where the many levels of existence ought to be integrated concretely.
