My first years working for an IT services company led me to join Renault’s IT department for Engineering in the early 90’s, when inhouse systems where developed for technical data management.
I was involved in the renewal of the corporate BOM (Bill Of Material) as a spokesperson for process engineering stakeholders, and took part in the implementation of a new generation of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering, with Catia) regarding product data management issues.
In the late 90’s, I steered a project to redesign a system dedicated to process sequence management for powertrain, from its earliest steps to full deployment in Europe and South America.
Then, after having headed a team to manage IT expenses and to run daily users’ life on an engineering site, I joined the IT department for Sales Management in France, in charge of IT for vehicle sales to companies, and for secondhand sales.
This is where I discovered IT Enterprise Architecture techniques (such as IT Master Plan) and stakes (such as Master Data Management or Business Process Management): this encouraged me to become an IT enterprise architect, in charge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain topics.
I came back to Engineering in 2013, on the “metier” side, where I am currently project owner for the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) toolkit which will support a new Configuration Management corporate process, in a “Product Line” and “Systems Engineering” mindset, and in the perspective of a deeper alliance with Nissan.
