2014 - maintenantSince I joined the railways office, I've been working on the construction site of the new CasaPort rail station, I coordinated between different trades, including architects, HSE control office, engineering office, and the construction companies, and helped quantity surveyors and ensured that their work meets reality. This experience was also the occasion for me to discover the administration side and the commercialization process of the rail station shops. Developing good relationships with the many project partners was a key to success and helped dodging blocking problems.

Improved the heat exchanger implementation previously developed in my final studies internship.
Wrote an introduction to Linux environment, C programming and other programming languages used by ColSim and at the institute. This document helps new interns to get familiar with the tools they will be using during their internship.

2012 - 2012For this work, I received the 1st prize of the solar energy master award 2013, organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and the Moroccan Agency For Solar Energy.
I worked on the modeling and simulation of a screw heat exchanger.
The screw heat exchanger is used for a latent heat storage approach for future concentrated thermal solar plants. The heat exchanger modeling required me to find the right correlations and equations that would let me simulate the heat exchange efficiency for different design configurations, phase change material (salt) compositions, and fluid rates and temperatures.
The implementation was done in C language as an extension of ColSim, the simulation environment developed at Fraunhofer ISE.

Paris2010 - 2010This internship was my first experience in an industrial environment.
During this internship I had the opportunity to understand the role of the hierarchy in a company.
I also had a clear sight on how the maintenance is organized.
My report included a chapter about the changing of a roller crusher in the coil rolling mills, where I give a detailed list of tools to prepare, and protocols to follow, to reduce the time the furnace uses fuel instead of coil (fuel is much more expensive than coil), and to reduce risks of accidents.
