Objective: enhance profitability of the department and its attractiveness on the consulting service market.
Achievements: Increased the Trade-service department workload capability and profitability. Due to new stream of revenue I helped to implement, the trade service department reached its 2014 PnL annual target in 5 months.

PRODIGE was positioned as an entry-level interior perfume manufacturer despite the good quality of its Made-In-France products. Its to date marketing strategy had not succeeded to differentiate its products enough to justify higher prices. PRODIGE was rapidly losing market shares against low cost, entry-level companies.
Slow decrease of purchase power in France impacted negatively the overall national demand for interior perfume.
I was hired in order to (1) differentiate PRODIGE’s products from entry level competition by re-positioning the brand in the middle-range market; and (2) to penetrate export markets.
Actions:
- Implemented an upmarket strategy: Re-defined the brand positioning by focusing on high quality products and withdrawing entry-market products / Created the brand “story” and visual identity
- Executed Japanese & Korean market-entry: Prospecting, use of PR (Tokyo Gift Show, Feb. 2013)
- Managed new key accounts in Japan & Korea (importers/distributors & retail channels): securing partnerships, closed sales.
- Sales network coordination: exclusivity contracts, retail prices, localization of product message.
Results:
- 2013 YOY sales increase of 30% in total value, with a 10% average in unit price increase.
- Japan Market Entry success. Signed up LOFT / Export sales represents 80% in excess of initial budget.
- In 2014, 1st sales in Korea. PRODIGE is now presented in 2 chain stores : LOTTE and Raviaise.
