From 1990 to October 1997 , I have worked at the Rogers Aviation Department , specially in the Cargo sector.

I started as cashier at Rogers Air Cargo (biggest freight forwarder in Mauritius) in 1990 and then in 1991 , I moved as accounts clerk in the company.

In 1992 , I started to handle the accounts of a freight company namely Hecny Transportation (Mauritius) Ltd. In 1994 , I was given additional responsibility with the handling of accounts of another freight company ; the additional one being Schenker (Mauritius) Ltd. I was also promoted as senior accounts clerk later this year.

In 1996 , I moved to another department , namely Air Mauritius Forwarding Department where I worked for fifteen months up to October 1997. During this period , I was trained in Cobol System , and ACCPAC as accounting package to be used.

As from November 1997 , I returned to Rogers Air Cargo and worked up to October 1999 as Accounts Supervisor. I was responsible for the good running of the Accounting Department (that is debtors , creditors , general ledger and also other duties which arose).The system used was RAVIX and UNIX – to which proper training was given.

As from October 1999 until March 2001 , I worked as accountant at Airgate (Mauritius) Ltd (another freight forwarding company). I was responsible for the smooth running of the Accounting Department and thereby handle all the reconciliations and books of the company.

From April 2001 up to September 2002 , I worked at ARIO (Airline Representative Indian Ocean) Head Office – a company which is the sales agents of various main carriers (Air Mauritius , Air France , South African Airways , etc) in the Indian Ocean.
My duties involved the keeping of books and ensure a smooth running in the different stations in the Indian Ocean.
As such , I had to travel frequently (Madagascar , Mozambique , etc) and over a long period to review the accounts.

In September 2002 , I decided to take a new turn in my career and moved to the hotel industry , but still in the accounting field. I applied for the job of accounts officer at Ste Anne Resort (a new 5 star hotel of the Beachcomber Group – the largest hotel chain in Mauritius) and was successful in securing the post. As such , I worked in Seychelles as Assistant Financial Controller. My duties included the preparation of monthly management account (with an analysis of the figures) , preparation of budgets , yearly accounts and other cognate duties. I was also in charge of most hotel administrative work – that is , liaison with stakeholders (government officials , suppliers etc) within and outside Seychelles.

In 2005 , I did not renew my contract and thus returned to Mauritius. An opportunity arose with my former employer and I came back with ARIO ltd. Since my return I have been in charge of the financial aspect of overseas and local stations. Within my scope of duties , there are the preparations of monthly, quarterly , half yearly and yearly accounts , budgets , manamenet reports with an analysis sustaining the figures and as such , I have to travel regularly in the Indian Ocean area for the smooth running of operations.

In 2008 , I had the exciting opportunity to start anew in a rhum distillery.The move was to head the Accounting and Administrative Department and to "create" the department.
Thus , presently I am in charge of the Accounts and Administrative Department of a company which has tremedously expanded in 3 years : from manufacturing of rhum to prduction of cold meat, restaurant , etc.
My duties apart from doing the Management accounts , budgets include also interaction with various stakeholders like foreign suppliers , government authorities , etc

Since January 2012 , I am the accountant of Tractafric Equipmment International (Mauritius)(Optorg) based in Ebene.
