Christian Coite is a leader in the design of pumping stations and regulation systems.
Christian Coite worked for more than 35 years for a French leading engineering company - BRL – and then 5 years for the International leader in treatment and dessal plants – Degremont.
He is now Consultant in Hydraulics available for short term assignment or design of projects in which pumps and/or transferts are the most important items.
He studied more than 20 pumping stations with a capacity of 1 to 60m3/s, in more than 20 countries, with all type of intake and regulation.
His experiences the development of a very original concept of management in more than 20 physical models, leading to optimizing the facilities dimensions.
He masters specific software like Cebelmail for Water hammer calculation in pressurized pipes and SIC^2 for open channels.
Some of his most important references are:
• Hydraulic Domain Managing Director for Aguas Argentinas in Buenos Aires (very big and complicated pumping stations and original concept for regulation)
• Project manager for SAA project in Algeria (when the dams were empty in 2002 and when a project to transfer water from 80 km in the South was done in 15 days and the works in 9 months (included a 2 m3/s and 250m TMH pumping station and a 2m3/s treatment plant).
• Main designer for Melbourne project Pumping Stations (Intake, transfer and flow accelerator) and 80 km transfer pipe
Christian Coite has been delivering training in Hydraulics
