    2013 - maintenant 1) SI Retail: development of a chain of hypermarkets under Auchan franchise in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

    Part of the management team, Acting Head of the expansion in the Kurdistan Region. Looking at Real Estate investment opportunities: deal sourcing, financial modeling, funding strategy. Corporate finance missions: establishment of business plans, member of the Budget Committee.

    2) Advisory missions: Financial modeling, realization of business plans and investment recommendations (Retail chain in Nigeria, Food processing in Mozambique, Gold Mining in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, Infrastructure Project in Senegal).

    3) Business development missions in the Middle East (African Islamic Bank, French Asset Management firm, Private equity funds, Real Estate opportunities in Europe..)

  • Invest AD - Abu Dhabi Investment Company - SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER

    2007 - 2012 1) From January 2011: Senior Investment Officer for Invest AD / SBI Africa fund.

    Private equity, Pre-IPO and IPO investments in Africa with total assets of $75m in partnership with SBI Holdings (Japan)
    Worked on due diligences on following deals: IPO in Banking Sector in Rwanda, pharmaceutical company and a dairy producer in Tunisia, gas distribution company in Ivory Coast.
    Identified additional investment opportunities in Morocco, Nigeria, Tunisia and Ivory Coast.

    2) From September 2008: Equity portfolio manager focusing on Middle East and African markets.

    Managed funds and mandates (Invest AD Emerging Africa funds, Quam Mena Fund).
    Managed Islamic equity mandates for UAE institutions.
    Travel in targeted countries (Morocco, Nigeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar…).

    3) Joined as Head of Alternative investments managing funds of Hedge Funds with a team of 2 analysts.

    Selection of Managers, leading the due diligence and investment process.
