SHEQ Engineer, Project Manager responsible for Total’s transport providers & gas stations in Lebanon.
• Applying company’s Road Transport Standards and SMS (safety management systems), the assignment was to upgrade the local fuel and oil transportation fleets’ SHEQ level up to Total’s European standards.
As Project coordinator acting in both technical and organization aspects of the operations. Controlling and certifying the mechanical and technical norms of the trucks, establishing loading and transport procedures, as well as defining the personnel driver training needs. Daily tasks included audits, reporting & follow ups, operational procedures implementation; internal and external staff training… 93% of mission objectives were attained despite local war.
• Total Lebanon’s Service Station Safety Auditor. Training and advising local inspectors carrying out safety audits throughout the country’s distribution network, analyzed data gathered in the field and supplied the Marketing Department with corrective action plans. The objective was to target immediate needs and settle on urgent SHEQ issues. Over 600 High Priority Actions were engaged since.
• Regularly participated in the tank storage farm’s 2007 I3SRS level 3 safety management system and helped define operation strategies to enhance internal processes, working conditions, maintenance, inspections…
• Trained the new local Transport Coordinator.
• Trained the new local SHEQ Coordinator.
