Harvard Medical School - Mass. General Hospital
- Internship in neurobiology research
2016 - 2016
Study of the involvement of BACE1 in adult hippocampal neurogenesis.
The techniques I used for these project are: sectioning of mouse brain, immunohistochemistry staining of the slices, observation of stained hippocampus with confocal microscope.

Institut de Biologie de Valrose (IBV)
- Internship in research lab
2015 - 2015
Development of an optogenetic technique to study, in real-time, the function of a potassium channel from the K2P family, TWIK1, using photo-isomerizable cross-linkers. The main assays I used for these projects were whole cell patch clamp recordings in human kidney cells.
-
ProfileXpert - LCMT
- Internship - Clinical trial in cancerology
2014 - 2014
Study of genetic predispositions to dysglobulinemia (Waldenström’s macroglubulinemia and MGUS).
I participated in the management of a clinical trial for the administrative and technical aspects: recruiting patients to participate in the trial, verifying the signature of consent, organizing blood tests, receiving the blood samples, immortalizing B cells from blood samples and extracting nucleic acids to send them to sequencing.

PARIS 13
2013 - 2013
Study of the effects of lipotoxicity on human and murine beta cells and investigation of the protective effects of translocon modulation on those cells.
I used B cells cultured with palmitate as a lipotoxicity model and I blocked the translocon, a calcium leak channel of the endoplasmic reticulum, to see if it would impact on endoplasmic reticulum stress. I used western blot and RT-qPCR to observe the modulation of cellular pathways involved in this stress.
