Primarily responsible for the specification of a number of Emerson DeltaV control systems to be installed on BP Terminals around the country, the systems comprise conventional I/O and serial links with existing Emerson SIS systems and various existing PLC packages. Architectures are both integrated with existing systems and stand alone as required by the various Terminals.
Lead Instrument Engineer - Responsible for a team of Engineers in the preparation of the control system input to a FEED Study in a UKCCS Demonstration Competition. Activities included preparation of User Requirement Specifications for all control system equipment, DCS, Fire and Gas, ESD systems and metering skids complete with gas analysis. Attending various HAZOP and CHAZOP meetings and compiling system costs for the final FEED report.
Completed AMEC internal CCS project training and induction, and certified as a competent/SQEP (Suitable Qualified and Experienced Person) for National Grid CCS projects. This training is developed by AMEC to raise competency and awareness levels of CCS and part of a tailored package of training sessions and required reading material. The training programme is compliant and exceeds the demonstration of competency in CCS required by National Grid for CCS projects.
Lead Instrument Engineer - Responsible for all detailed design associated with the control and protection systems for the Milford Energy Co-Generation plant located in Wales. Systems include Emerson Delta V distributed control system, HIMA Sella HiQuad TMR shutdown system, Emerson SIS fire and gas system.
System architecture including extensive fibre optic network to provide remote redundant primary and secondary data highways. Specification and purchase of all field instrumentation and serial interfaces with vendor's packages.
