Damas NEMBOT

My name is Nembot Damas. I was born in Cameroon, a bilingual country.
I am a holder of a Master of Arts in translation obtained from the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (in the University of Buea), where I learned a lot about the "language", the "skills" and the attitude of a Translator. This training allowed me to enbetter my young freelance career started in 2014 after my B.A. in German Studies (with minors in English and French) and a year of Master in linguistics.
Throughout the last four years, I have had the privilege to translate documents in the marketing, pharmaceutical, Hi-tech, IT, Engineering, advertising, legal and literary domains for world's brands such Mylan, Sonos, Hyundai and David Yurman while working with international translation companies such as Verbalang (http://verbalang.com/ ), MaxSun international Ltd (http://www.maxsuntranslation.com ), Neoplus translation (http://www.neotranslation.co.in/ ), and recently with AlphaTranslation (https://www.alphatranslations.ca/ ), MSS CAPE TOWN (https://msskapstadt.de/ ).
I have also been working as a freelancer for national organizations here in Cameroon.
I have a good mastery of CAT tools (on-and-offline) such as SDL Trados 2015, MemoQ, Wordfast Pro 3, Memsource, Across, cloud-based translation/editing tools etc.
Besides, I am a happy human being addicted to good written and spoken words as well as universalism.
