En résumé

Recently graduated from the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, I am looking for a PhD position in mechanical engineering and material sciences.

As a motivated engineer student at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, I extended my scholarship with an exchange year at the Technical University of Munich (Germany). Besides full professional proficiency German skills, I enhanced my education with a study program focused on innovative materials. Fascinated by their properties and the application range they offer, I wrote two thesis on this subject. I performed the first one at the Institute for Carbone Composite at the University of Munich on the subject "Characterization of Hybrid-Matrix Fiber-Reinforced Hinges". I wrote the second in the BMW Group to study the behavior of Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels in hydrogen-powered vehicles.

I am highly interested in themes such as the study of new materials and their adaptation to industrial processes through analytical, numerical or practical analyses. The optimization of existing equipment is also a research field in which I would love to work.

My theoretical and practical background allows me to adapt to a wide range of scientific issues.
I am looking for a PhD position in which I could be able to widen my knowledge but also to provide the research department with my comprehension, practical and simulation skills

Entreprises

  • BMW - Master Thesis

Munich 2015 - 2016 "Validation of a Burst Failure Criterion and Strength Characterization Using Numerical Simulation for Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels in Hydrogen-Powered Vehicles"

For the fulfillment of my Engineer degree I wrote this Master Thesis in the Hydrogen Departement "Alternative Fuel Tanks" of the BMW AG. I was mainly involved in:
    • Numerical simulation of the burst failure of Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels using the Finite Element Method
    • Analysis, proposition and comparison of various damage models for the rupture of thick-walled carbon fiber-reinforced structures
    • Exploitation and simulation of tests for the failure characterization of thick-walled rings
    • Improvement propositions for further development of the test methods
  • Technische Universität München - Master Thesis

    2015 - 2015 "Bending Characterization of Hybrid-Matrix Fiber-Reinforced Hinges with a Developed Testing Device"

I wrote this thesis during my exchange year at the Institute for Carbone Composites from the Technical University of Munich. I fulfilled:
    • Development of a bending test device applicable to large deformations
    • Mechanical characterization of "Hybrid-Matrix Fiber-Reinforced Hinges"
    • Elaboration of the bending-moment-to-opening-angle relation of the hinges
    • Proposition of simulation principles for the prediction of the bending moments
  • NUVIA STRUCTURE - Internship as an Engineering Student

2013 - 2014 12-Months Internship in the technical departement of "Nuvia Structure", a subsidiary of Vinci Construction. Over my internship, I was integrated in the engineering team and participated in the:
    • Development of technical solutions for the maintenance of nuclear power plants
    • Simulation of special devices for the ITER-Project
    • Design and technical support for the production of a new dedicated friction testing equipment

I was also deployed to testing laboratories of the Freyssinet Group as technical support for dynamic characterization of new mechanical devices.
  • Technische Unversität München - Laboratory Assistant

2012 - 2012 The "Oskar von Miller Institute" is a hydraulic laboratory of the Technical University of Munich. I worked as a laboratory assistant on the following subjects:
    • Development of a test protocol for the experiments performed on the dam Krün (Isar River)
    • Study and calculation of test parameters (flow rate, test duration)
    • Carrying out of hydraulic test models for the study of the sediment transport
