A seasoned advisor on China-related commercial matters, David Lavorel has spent most of the past 20 years in China.
He notably worked for a French electric utility company (Electricité de France), a Chemical group (Rhone-Poulenc China), the Commercial section of the French Embassy in China and a leading European Intellectual Property Law firm (Vidon IP Law Group).
In 2010 he was selected by the European Commission and a consortium of Chambers of Commerce to launch the EU SME Centre, a 5 M euros EU financed project that aims to help European SMEs to get acquainted with China.
David presently manages Consineo, a consulting firm in Beijing that provides a comprehensive range of hands-on support services to foreign companies, assisting them to establish, develop and maintain commercial activities in the Chinese market. He is also Of Counsel at Vidon IP Law Group (www.vidon.com).
During his career, he has advised hundreds of SMEs on how to approach the Chinese market, with a particular focus on industrial and infrastructure sectors, and he has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences.
