Working alongside petrochemical traders and commodity / dry freight / energy analysts; pulling data together, enriching, analysing, visualising and forecasting to give business intelligence for trading activities.
Many projects including:
- Enriching available commodity trade flow statistics with *Ocean Transportation probabilities* to produce Ocean Transportation flow insights.
Finally migrated from Oracle to MS BI solution (Excel VBA, Oracle PL/SQL, Tableau, MSBI, SSIS, SSAS, Excel PowerPivot)
- Crop Yield forecast model using conditional probabilities from monthly environmental data; calculation engine server-hosted. (Excel VBA, VBScript, XML, ASP)
- Ocean Transportation: forecasting free vessel availability by region and vessel type; by analysing ship location tracking (satellite AIS) data, we can calculate route probabilities with estimated arrival times and consequent port congestion and unloading times. (Excel VBA, Access VBA, SQL, MSBI, R, Tableau)
