2015 - 2016The stage takes part of a European project called "INDUSE-2-SAFETY".
My mission was represented by the analysis and preparation of two different specimens of liquid-storage-tanks (slender tank and broad one), in view of seismic tests on shaking table planned in the laboratory of TAMARIS (CEA/Saclay).
My stage can be splitted into two main parts: the first one was focused on the realization of a simplified model based on the EuroCode8, in the second one on the preparation of the seismic signals to apply to the shaking table.
After these steps, a code of the shaking table with the attached structures was realized to understand if the shaking table will be able to replicate correctly all seismic signals.
In addition to the simplified model based on EC8, a FEM model was realized into ABAQUS with the aim of validate all results achieved until that moment.
