En résumé

My name is Fabrice Moggia, I am 40 years old and I have a PhD in organic chemistry (Marseilles University).
After my PhD obtained in 2005, I decided to start a postdoctoral position in Prague in the Josef Michel group. My job was to develop some new molecular motors and other nanometric objects.
After 18 months spent abroad, I accepted a new position in France at the CEA (for 24 months) to work first on molecular electronic and secondly, on nuclear waste treatment.
Since October 2009 I am working for AREA at the Clean-Up Business Unit as R&D engineer. My research topics are centered on nuclear decontamination.

Entreprises

  • Ecole Centrale Paris - Part-time teacher

    CHÂTENAY-MALABRY Cedex 2017 - maintenant
  • Areva - Operations Unit Manager

Paris La Defense 2014 - maintenant This unit is in charge of technologies development related to nuclear decommissioning (cutting, robotic, decontamination and scenario).
Our team is currently composed of 1 Manager, 3 R&D project manager, 1R&D engineer and 2 students.
  • AREVA - R&D Engineer

Paris La Defense 2009 - 2013 I'm in charge of the development of new decontamination methods for the nuclear industry. My field goes from the chemistry to the mechanical and electrochemical decontamination.
My works is structured around the two following points:

    1- Scientific and Technical part
    - Technologies Forecasting (selection of the most interesting and promising technologies)
    - Writing of test programs prior the realization of lab and/or industrial scale trials (in active or non active conditions)
    - Preparation and realization of those trials
    - Writing of a summary of the trials
    - Writing of scientific publications
    - Writing of patents
    - Participation to international conferences

    2- Project part
    - Project management for the selected projects
    - Financial and planning reporting
  • CEA Saclay - Chercheur Post-Doctoral

Gif-sur-Yvette 2007 - 2009 I spent 24 months at the CEA of Saclay. During the first 12 months I worked in the field of molecular electronic by making some new NR diodes based on a "sigma-pi-sigma" design. Our new systems have been grafted onto various kinds of substrates such as gold (SAM) and other metallic wafer.
During the second part of my postdoctoral position I moved on the treatment of nuclear effluent by making some new reversible systems enable to selectively capture and release 137-Cs. Those systems were based on the calixarene skeleton and have been grafted onto gold surfaces. All of our surface investigations have been done by using XPS spectroscopy.
  • Institut de Chimie et de Biochimie de l'Académie des Sciences de la république Tchèque - Chercheur Post-Doctoral

2005 - 2007 I past 18 months in Prague in the Josef Michl team working on molecular motors based on various kinds of skeletons such as Anthracene, Carborene, Pyrole...

  • Université Aix-Marseille II, Faculté Des Sciences De Luminy (Marseille)

    Marseille 2002 - 2005 Doctorat en Chimie

The development of new materials capable of detecting specific ions represents one of the main concerns of supramolecular chemistry. Iron detection and quantification are very important particularly for medical purposes. At the present time, existing methods are based on spectroscopic detection. In this context, we undertook to develop a recognition system based on electrochemical detection...
