Florent Prunet has a general public and commercial law background with a strong focus on antitrust/competition, commercial litigation, distribution & consumer law. He regularly assists clients from various sectors (TMT, transport, energy, utilities, etc) in all competition aspects of their businesses, whether as counsel or litigator e.g. in connection with antitrust (before the European Commission, the French Competition Authority and specialized courts on matters of anticompetitive practices; before trade courts on follow-on private enforcement matters; in situ during dawn raids; etc), competition legal advice (vertical and horizontal practices and agreements, abuses of a dominant position, compliance programmes, etc), merger control (whether French and/or EU), distribution & consumer law (unfair/abusive practices, advertising, selling/marketing practices etc). He also advises/assists clients in various pre-contentious and commercial litigation matters against suppliers, customers and other business partners.
Florent Prunet graduated from "Sciences-Po" Paris in 1993 (Section Service Public). He holds a Master degree in Law from the Paris University - La Sorbonne (1994) and joined the Paris bar in 1997. He is the author of the French chapter of "Competition law in Western Europe and the USA" (Kluwers International) and numerous articles on competition law, and teaches Antitrust/Competition Law at Paris University Paris XIII. He is a member of the French Association of Attorneys practising Competition law (APDC) and the French Association for Competition Studies (AFEC).
