Because of my long career as conference speaker, coach, seminar and workshop leader I have honed a strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and decision-makers. My activities as court expert witness, defense expert in civil and criminal courts (Switzerland, Italy, US), and construction litigation mediations (Port of Oakland, California, US) has complemented this experience.
All my work is interdisciplinary, often involving toxicologists, fauna and flora experts, agronomists, engineers, geologists, hydro-geologists and biologists.
In various studies related to anti-personnel or anti-tank mined fields and humanitarian clearing of landmines and unexploded ordnance I have also worked with military, weapons specialists, medical doctors, rehabilitation experts, sociologists, and specialist for traumatized people/children (Red Cross, Unicef etc.). This happened in Laos PDR and Cambodia, under UNDP mandates, and for Sudan under GICHD mandate.
Many risk assessments for large alpine landslides included Police and Armed Forces members, Civil Protection members, telecom specialists etc.
