Inertial confinement fusion is due to initiate nuclear fusion reactions by heating and compressing a fuel target containing a mixture of deuterium and tritium using high-energy beams of laser light, electrons or ions.
As the target is of the range of the milimeters, the process would produce hardly no nuclear waste.
