He was appointed as Operations Manager of the new Saipem yard located in Karimun Island-Indonesia. The yard’s development is divided in two phase: the first one will be completed in mid 2011 and the second one in the end of 2012. The yard was designed to achieve a workforce of 5.000 resources. He is responsible of all the operations in the Yard and under his responsibility there are the following departments: production, procurement, engineering, material management, project control, project management. He is in charge to recruit, mobilise and to develop an appropriate training program for the first work force to be mobilised in the Karimun Yard at the end of 2009. He is also in charge to liaise with the Karimun Local Government (PEMDA) in order to facilitate the development of the infrastructures of Karimun Island such as roads, new international ferry terminal and dormitory.

Under his responsibility there are the following department: production, procurement, engineering, investment, material management, project management. Intermare Sarda Spa is a fabrication yard with an average manpower of 750 resources and with a capacity of sub-contractors management till 1000 resources.

Eni div. Gas B.V. Libyan Branch - Jacket and Piles The scope of work for the project include: design endorsement /development, fabrication and load-out of a Jacket of 25.000 ton and piles for 8.000 ton. The Jacket is part of a project to be developed by a consortium between Saipem (leader) and Hyundai H.I. for the supply, transportation, installation and 6 month operations of Sabratha Platform for off-shore Libya. The development of Engineering is performed by a consortium between SEI and Tecnomare and the construction activities are performed by Rosetti (piles) and Intermare Sarda (Jacket). Due to the amount of working hours, more than 1.300.000, Intermare Sarda set up a sub-contract system for nodes, cluster/ mud mats and buoyancy tanks prefabrication. The final assembly will performed at Intermare Sarda Yard located in Arbatax..
Agip Congo , Foukanda / Mwafi Development
The scope of work for the Project included the design development, engineering, procurement and fabrication (EPC) of No. 2 complete Platform (Jackets, Piles and Decks) for west Africa (7,200 tons) . The Project was performed by a J.V. between Intermare Sarda , Rosetti and SASP Engineering. Leading the Project Team through the development of the schedule, the definition of the Target Cost (assistance to the Client for the Sanction phase) and the set-up of the Cost Monitoring system. In charge of the process of guaranteeing the continuous and smooth flow of information from Engineering to the Procurement and participating with the decision role to all the technical and commercial evaluations. Responsible toward the yards for the timely arrival of engineering deliverables and materials/equipment supply. Supervising the contractual aspects relevant to the interface between Installation ( by others), the Hook-up (own scope of work) and the Commissioning-Start up. Maintaining the most strict contact with the client Representatives on the Project ( Integrated Team) for a win-win approach to the problems and criticalities. Hook-up, Commissioning and Start-up manger based in Point Noire – Congo. The scope of work was the hook-up and the completion of the carry over work (30.000 man-hours), commissioning and start-up of the platform Mwafi and Foukanda and the revamping of the “mother” platform Kitina and Loango. The peak work force off-shore was about 140 labourer.
Annalisa Deck – Hook-up and Commissioning The scope of work was the hook-up, commissioning and start up of Annalisa Deck a platform located in the Adriatic sea with a weight of 500 ton.

The scope of work for the Project included the design development, engineering, procurement and fabrication (EPC) of No. 3 complete Platform (Jackets, Piles and Decks) for the Mediterranean Sea (8,510 tons) . The Project was performed by a J.V. between Intermare Sarda, Rosetti and SASP Engineering. In charge of the Interfaces between Engineering - Procurement – Fabrication, the development and control of the Schedule and Cost Monitoring System for the J.V. This role was covered during the critical phase of Procurement and Fabrication Phase, reporting to the P.M. and to the Project Control Manager of the Client.

The Project was performed by a J.V. between Saipem UK, Intermare Sarda, Rosetti and SASP Engineering. In charge of the development and follow-up of the Planning and Cost Control System for the J.V., reporting to the P.M. of the J.V. and to the Project Control Manager of the Client.
