    Londres 2015 - 2016 5-year, $21 million project to develop cashew value chain. Targets: 1) increase 35,000 farmers’ best practices, yields, revenues; 2) increase village-level access to finance; 3) improve cashew processor capacity, competitiveness, & sustainability; 4) enhance access to finance and relationships with buyers; 5) diversify into other cashew by products; 6) improve access to market information; 7) strengthen stakeholder institutions, including farmer-based groups, processor and exporter associations, government agencies, warehouses, and business development service providers; 8) improve legal/regulatory enabling environment. Responsible for Work Plan, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) program, recruitment, and stakeholder relations. 15 staff/2 offices.
  • The Pragma Corporation - Chief of Party

    2014 - 2015 USAID 3-year, $12 million project, Tunisia: increase employment: 1) technical assistance to enterprises in value chains (VCs), 2) access to finance, 3) workforce development--training, curricula reform, job fairs, career development centers, 4) policy reform. Food processing, textiles, ICT, electronics, aeronautics, consumer goods, tourism. 100 enterprises assisted; over 3,500 jobs created; $6 million in equity/debt mobilized; 5 trade missions and events in tourism, textiles, olive oil; 8 job fairs and 13 Career Development Centers (CDCs); 12 vocational curricula revised; technical and soft skills training; partnered with Microsoft/regional NGO on career development website/certification program for Career Counselors; coaching on job seeking skills and to employers on improving recruitment, retention; MHE Action Plan, M&E program; technical assistance on tax, telecommunications regulation; Work Plan; M&E; Communication Plan; procurement, sub-awards. 26 locals, short-term experts.
