An expert in participatory planning, service delivery, and community engagement with more than 16 years of professional experience, Jaclin Gueriney has overseen the design and implementation of community development programming across Haiti. Having held positions in all regions of the country, Mr. Gueriney is particularly adept in analyzing local-level politics and social dynamics. Currently, he serves as Program Officer on USAID’s Haiti Recovery Initiative II, where he works closely with community leaders, government officials, and NGOs in developing and implementing stabilization and empowerment activities in the Northern Corridor. He has been particularly creative in designing activities that give hope to impoverished children and engage idle youth. Mr. Gueriney’s experience also encompasses education, health care and basic nutrition, quality education for boys and girls, household economic security, and youth and community leadership. For nearly a decade, he served in a variety of increasingly senior roles at Plan International, including Community Facilitator, Program Manager, and Regional Manager, where he focused on designing community development interventions, monitoring and evaluating programs, and strategic planning for the organization. Mr. Gueriney holds a certificate as a paralegal from Cap Haitian Law School and a diploma in Administration from the Adventist University of Haiti. He is a native speaker of French and Haitian Creole, and is proficient in English.
