2012 - 2014 >Deputy Manager, Menswear Design
This position acknowledged my broadened responsibilities and my contribution to design and product development. I mentored and led a team of three designers to create a sub-brand known as Colorplus Orange line. I was responsible for creating a compelling vision and giving creative direction for the new line. I oversaw different categories of products and developed plans across full marketing mix-including brand communication and innovation. The new line met with rave reviews from buyers and clients; it clocked up a sales revenue of 100 million INR- 10% of the total revenue of the company- in the first year. In appreciation of my contribution to the design and financial success of the new line, I was awarded with “THE MOST PROMISING YOUNG RAYMONDITE”.
2009 - 2012> Assistant Manager, Menswear Design
I worked in close coordination with the Head of Design for the categories of shirts, trousers and jeans of the Colorplus classic line. I was responsible for analyzing emerging fashion trends, developing seasonal color palette, concept and mood boards, sourcing and selecting fabrics and trims, and developing new fits and prototypes of the garments. I planned and developed ranges liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure that the item suits the customer, market and price point. I was also strongly involved in sales analyses, market and competitor studies and collection and marketing strategies for the assigned product lines. As a result, I developed a flair for creative thinking underpinned by analytical rigor. Gradually, my priorities shifted to driving innovation in the assigned product categories. I received ``THE INNOVATIVE PIONEER'' award in appreciation for outstanding performance and contribution to the category `CP TROUSERS' in the SS-13 tradeshow.
