- More than 18 years of experience in the fields of climate change and other global environment and sustainable development issues, and good capacities in technical and cost-benefit analysis of the feasibility of design solutions to support decision-makers.
- Broad experience, gained at the Tunisian ministry for the environment, in managing GEF/UNDP and GEF/UNEP projects (on climate change and other global issues), coordinating the national steering committee of the 9 years’ GIZ project (2006-2014) on the support of the implementation of the UNFCCC in Tunisia, and as the national coordinator of the Tunisian CDM DNA.
- More than 10 years of experience, as UNFCCC National Focal Point of Tunisia, in coordinating with all stakeholders (Government, NGOs, Universities) the national strategy on climate change (mitigation and adaptation) and sectoral strategies (Agriculture and Natural Resources, Tourism and Health) on the adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change, and in elaboration of Tunisia's formal positions and submissions (to the UNFCCC Secretariat) on climate change negotiations issues.
- Noteworthy skills and abilities to work collectively (with government representatives and from NGOs, universities, etc.) and to moderate meetings and workshops.
- Solid knowledge about the process of NAMAS (Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions) development in Tunisia (Renewable Energies; Energy Efficiency; Industrial Processes; Wastewater Treatment; Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use Change).
- Good knowledge about the energy efficiency and renewable energies projects, programs and plans in Tunisia.
