Mr. Insa Sonko graduated from the London Metropolitan University MSc in International Trade and Transport. He studied private Law at University Gaston Berger of Saint Louis (Senegal) and holds a LLM in Business Law.
Mr. Sonko, a Sworn Cargo Surveyor, is Member of the Senegalese association of Experts.
He is the Managing Director of General Inspection & Maritime Surveillance (GIMS).
GIMS are a Senegal based superintendent and surveyor Member of GAFTA. Their aim is to provide high standard quality service to their customers worldwide. GIMS is GTAS (Gafta Trade Assurance) quality management certified.
Quality and quantity control of commodities traded in the international market is paramount for the good relationship between buyers and sellers. There are risks of damages when goods are loaded and discharged from transport means.
GIMS role as cargo surveyor is to observe and report the facts, to inspect, to draw samples and to arrange analysis and to issue written reports and certificates to their customers.
