    2010 - 2013 A sole UX specialist in the TV Product division, Portugal’s largest Pay-TV operation with over 1,5m customers.
    Oversaw TV user experiences including an award winning TV navigation system, a remote control, apps and channels. Led user research for TV, web and mobile platforms, web portals for consumers and business customers. Applied eye tracking to evaluate how users navigate and consume TV content. Evangelised UX and educated team on user-centered design and usability.

  • Microsoft Corporation - User Researcher Intern, Windows division

    Issy-les-Moulineaux. 2009 - 2009 Designed the research methodology and co-autotored an internal paper on privacy concerns for geolocation features. Conducted a heuristic evaluations (95% of recommendations were accepted). Presented an exploratory research on localizing Windows brand personality in China.

  • Portugal Telecom - Research and tech lead

    LISBONNE 2009 - 2009 Worked in a five-person team to reimagine a web portal for children. Conducted contextual inquiries and usability testing; co-created design concepts, personas & scenarios, interaction flows; implemented a prototype in HTML/CSS.

  • Carnegie Mellon University - Research Assistant at Ambient Intelligence Lab

    2007 - 2008 Developed privacy protection algorithms for 3D human screening in airport security and texture mapping algorithms for historical artifacts. Results reported in BBC and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

  • Fridrich-Alexander-Universität-Erlangen - Intern

    2005 - 2005 Built control circuits for sensors and actuators for security of reconfigurable networks.
