Shell
- Change Management Lead
Paris2005 - maintenantBackground: STOS is a 50/50 owned company by Shell and Todd (a New Zealand energy company). STOS operates assets on behalf of 5 different JVs where Shell Todd and OMV have different equity levels. It is a complex environment with some unique business and JV relationship characteristics.
In June 05, Shell articulated a new vision for its NZ business, and initiated the process of operating directly all the assets they had equity in. It resulted in a legal and commercial process between Shell and Todd about the future of STOS.
The role, which reports, directly to STOS GM has 2 dimensions:
* Project&Change management:
I manage the transfer of Operatorship for 3 assets:
* Exploration acreage, Western Platform, to Australian Worldwide Exploration by 31/12/05
* Development project, Pohokura, to Shell by 01/04/06
* Producing asset, the McKee&Mangahewa field, to Todd by 31/05/06
For these 3 projects, I manage dedicated project teams and budgets (in total US$700k, mainly timewritting), with the objective of:
* Minimizing disruption to STOS and services provided to JVs
* Keeping people and stakeholders informed during the change process
* Clarifying uncertainties in developing options, SWOT analysis and manage mitigation measures associated with identified risks
* Ensuring STOS deliver its Workplan for 2006
* Strategy:
As far as the wider aspirations of Shell are concerned (dissolution of STOS), I work closely and directly with Shell in order to measure/assess the impact of various operating models on the existing JV's operations, and the legal and commercial roadmaps for their implementation.
