    Summary
In my practice I like to think that ergonomics is “ to understand work in order to transform it”. I also believe, that the value of ergonomics goes far beyond the health and safety paradigm (which is already enormous…).
Ergonomics has both a social goal (health, well-being) and an economic goal (total system performance).
Ergonomics considers both physical and psychological aspects and looks for design solutions in both the technical and the organizational environment, always taking into account people’s capabilities and limitations.
