  Investigation of the importance of a regulatory T-cell subset in chronic diseases of the human intestine: Specimens of the human gut were processed and lymphocytes were analysed according to their phenotypical and functional characteristics. To test whether this particular regulatory T-cell subset could be of use in cell therapy cell-lines and clones were generated and examined over time.

  2009 - 2010 “The role of chemokines and dentritic cells in the process of homing-receptor imprinting on T cells”
  In the context of allergic contact dermatitis skin-specific and intestine-specific components and their role in the imprinting of homing receptors on inflammatory T-cells were investigated. For this purpose murine DC were loaded with tissue specific chemokines/substances and co-cultured with T-cells in vitro and changes in receptor expression were revealed by flow-cytometry.
