John (Iannis) Bardakos is an artist, visual director and researcher.
John was born in Athens, Greece in 1976. After studying Mathematics and Arts he focused in traditional animation, illustration and comics. He got involved in CG and analogue productions as a producer, animation artist and director dealing with commercial and independent projects.
John currently lives and works in Paris doing digital and analogue art moving and still. He is mostly involved in academic work and research doing post graduate research between the School of Fine Arts and Paris 8 University as a member of the INREV (Image Numérique et Réalité Virtuelle) team, the AIAC (Arts des Images et Art Contemporain) and the Hypermedia and VR lab in Athens while blending mathematics, digital arts aesthetics and virtual reality narrations.
