En résumé

I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language for more than 5 years, to all levels and ages, at the American Language Center of Marrakech. In September 2011 I added teaching of the colloquial Arabic classes to visiting teachers, into my list of tasks. I have also had my TEFL cirtificate recently and had given and attended different workshops at the ALC as well as attending the TEFL ALL-ALCs Conferences in Morocco over the past four years.

  • American language center- Marrakesh - Full Time English Teacher

    2009 - maintenant Teaching English to various levels and ages. I have been developing class management and leadership as well as organization, decision making, problem solving, patience, creativity and various teaching skills.

  • KASBEK- Australian/ Moroccan Bazaar - Salesperson

    2008 - 2009 I sold Moroccan westernized Kaftans and more traditional jewellery and shoes also assisted tourist customers to buy from the bazaar as well as help them shop around the souks. Being a salesperson taught me more of what I am today. I have learned to be a better listener and communicator, made me able to build stronger social relationships, ability to persuade people and self motivation.

  • American language center- Marrakesh. - Teacher's assistant - kids program

    2008 - 2009 I mainly worked with kids - 05 to 10 years old - was in charge of planning outdoors activity as well as class preparation and teacher's assistance in giving a suitable fun and productive lesson. I have learned to relate to the kids and their families, to take responsibility of a big group, to solve problems, to be spontaneous and as well as teaching them, eager to learn from them.

  • Mcdonald's Rest - Shift manager

    2007 - 2008 I was in charge of the restaurant for a couple of hours every day, after the morning shift manager would leave and before the night manager would arrive. My duties included watching and managing the staff and making sure the service followed the norms of the restaurant.   I have developed a way to deal with my bosses and get on the good sides of my staff members during my shift. I also learned how to have fun with colleagues but keep the professional work frame respected and succeeded in developing a strategic thinking and a result orientation.            

  • Mcdonald's Rest - Hostess

    2006 - 2007 I booked and organized kids' birthdays, filed customers' complaints and praise, introduced new products to customers and assisted them to choose their order and their sitting.     I have grown to love working with kids. I have also acquired that work is hard, but worth it. I have learned how to stand in on spot for long hours, and leaned discipline and patience. Besides, dealing with different types of personality has taught me good political/diplomatic skills.  

  • Mcdonald's Rest. - Cashier

    2004 - 2005 I used to take customers' orders and serve them, operate credit cards, register as well as cash and assist with cleaning and stocking duties behind the counter. I have learned how to handle money - a skill that few have mastered in life- I have also learned how to deal with different people, situations, and customers as well as gained self-confidence and acquired better social skills.
