- Resettlement Action Plan Co-designation and implementation for Namoya Mining:
• Assists with negotiations with local residents on behalf of the company relating to a compensation rate document, an artisanal miner agreement, and a memorandum of understanding (community development projects).
- Coordination of identification of the households affected by the mine project and ensures they are compensated accordingly:
• Sends team to conduct verification of existing data.
• Compares findings of the survey team to that of the mine footprint.
• Assists with the supervision of the engagement of persons of the affected household (AHH) and affected parties.
- Assists with coordinating the training of artisanal miners (AM) affected by the mine project:
• Coordinates the Community Relations (CR) team to conduct verification of existing data on the artisan miners affected.
• Assists with the coordination of the repositioning process (employment or training programme).
- Informs all external stakeholders on Exploration related projects:
• Actively participates in ad hoc and regular scheduled meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitates verbal and written information sharing between both parties.
• Facilitates feedback to stakeholders.
• Participates in brochure and poster design and distribution.
- Assist with the coordination of ad hoc community development projects and humanitarian assistance:
• Receives community requests and submits proposals to CR Superintendent.
- Ensure the area of responsibility is properly resource:
• Ensures all correspondence and administration is in place.
• Administers and monitors the administrative processes in order to ensure that the CR Department records and financial controls are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
- subordinates supervision on daily tasks:
• Tasks delegation to the team.
• Provides feedback to the team on work completed.
• Training the team on-the- job on technical aspects of Community relations
- Assistance in coordination of community relations activities within own function by involving other team players:
• Provides input from own field of expertise.
• Involves all disciplines within the geological, construction and mining section and individuals performing different tasks and roles, and optimise productivity and good teamwork
• Sets objectives for own team.
• Encourages team participation in problem solving techniques.
• Builds relationships with other disciplines in the Community Relations department
- Team Supervision on daily tasks:
• Conducts meeting daily and weekly with team.
• Delegates tasks to the team.
• Provides feedback to the team on work completed. Trains the team on-the- job on technical aspects.
• Discusses performance verbally on a weekly basis, and officially once a year.
