Recently graduated student from EPFL, I am looking for a position in the sectors of medical devices, biotechnologies or pharma.
I would like to show and train my skills of fast learning, multi-tasking and troubleshooting in a vibrant environment. Used to integrate new groups, I am eager to take part to a multidisciplinary team in which I can also work in an autonomous way.

  • Lunaphore technologies SA - R&D assistant

    2016 - 2017 Lunaphore Technologies is a young start-up company active in the in vitro diagnostics field developing a product based on a microfluidic technology to analyse tumor samples. In the frame of Lunaphore's activities in the R&D department, there is a need to develop, optimize and test new protocols.

    I had to develop and implement startup’s projects, important for the future development of the company. My role was on one hand to improve existing protocols with the platform and to test detection kits in order to make important collaboration with partners. On the other hand, I was in charge of developing new protocols with the platform to show proof-of-concept results. This includes, scientific research, protocol execution, image acquisition, image processing, results analysis and reporting to the managers. In addition, I participated in giving important feedbacks and contribute in the continuous improvement of the instrument.

    Scope of work / Tasks
    • Test and develop new protocols of multiplexing
    • Execute and improve existing protocols/kits of immunostaining
    • Test and clean the microfluidic device prototypes
    • Improve and troubleshoot the microfluidic device prototypes
    • Tissue slide imaging with fluorescence or bright-field microscopes

  • Rheon medical SA - R&D assistant

    2016 - 2016 Rheon Medical is a Swiss company founded in 2010 and based in the EPFL campus in Lausanne, Switzerland. Rheon focuses on the development of first-in-class glaucoma drainage devices, providing precise intraocular pressure control over the life of the device. Our goal is to deliver optimal solutions to surgeons, eliminating complications and treatment failures.

    I was in charge of the development of a new seton tube design for the glaucoma drainage device based on the issues observed on the first patients already having an eyeWatchTM. Then, I characterized the cell adhesion and proliferation on different coatings to investigate wound healing after the surgery.

  • Laboratoire d'Hémodynamique et Technologies Cardiovasculaires (LHTC) - Project intern

    2015 - 2015 Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common, multi-causal disorder whose most prevalent risk factor is hypercholesterolemia. This situation leads to the development of atherosclerosis and rises various functional and structural alterations in the vasculature. Apelin was found to play a critical role in erectile function as its trigger the release of a vasodilator neurotransmitter.

    My project was to analyze the actions of long-term treatment with Apelin-13 in hypercholesterolemic-induced ED mice by evaluating key markers for erectile function. The result of this extensive study were significant and lead to a publication in 2016 in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
