1980 - 1992Attracting new agencies + reorienting the profitcenter towards raw materials and additives/resins for coatings and ink, petroleum/lubricants, watertreatment and specialty chemicals. Budgetresponsibility (purchasing/sales) for a turnover approaching 2,5 million euro (without commission business). Key customer follow up / team motivation - organizing symposia and advertising - frequent international (USA/Europe) supplier contacts, sales-mee-tings/trainings, tradeshows and conferences. Personnel selection ( 3 university/A1 levels). Results: 100 % profit added and marginlevel boosted with 4% between 1988 and 1992, despite decli¬ning compa¬ny re¬sults and personnel cut down. Moving up from 0 % to 11 % marketshare in a mar¬ket¬ segment we never explored before (watertreatment) against a virtual monopoly (Rohm & Haas, Dow, Bayer).
