  2014 - 2015 Enhanced an application which forecasts the number of train engineers, crew members and laborers needed in the coming month based on the historic data and diverse factors like commodity movement demand, number of the trainees who are ready to enter the workforce, the employees who went on vacation/sabbatical. Worked on a feature which compares the forecast of the previous month with the actual data of the same month and displays comparison charts, deviations between the forecast and actual data.
  
  Developed an agricultural train planning application which helps to match the demand with the supply of agricultural train cars. This application was developed using AngularJS for the front-end and Groovy on Grails and MongoDB for the back-end.
  
  * Responsible for gathering requirement from the business users, requirement analysis, detailed design, coding, code review, testing and managing the offshore team - assisting and monitoring the progress of development at the offshore

  2012 - 2014 Developed an application which helps to match the demand and supply of various types of cars. The train scheduling team uses this application to identify the train cars and to build a virtual train between the source and the destination.
  
  Enhanced an application which helps to identify the how well the tracks are utilized. Fixed the issues in the existing system, did performance improvement and expanded the project across the entire railroad.
  
  * Activities include taking part in the requirement analysis discussions, preparing design document, prototyping, coding, code review and testing
  * Assisting developers in the offshore team and making sure everyday targets are met
  * Rewrote an existing application using multi-threaded calls which drastically improved the performance
  * Was conducting Defect Prevention meetings to help the team to avoid common pitfalls

• Infosys Ltd. - SYSTEMS ENGINEER & SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

  2007 - 2012 Developed and supported various applications including business-critical finance applications for an international toy retailer. My role involved analyzing the existing system to identifying the root cause of issues reported, applying fixes and deploying to production within a very short duration to maintain the business continuity.
  
  Worked on a project to identify products with lesser profit margin, apply promotions and purge them out of the store for the second biggest pharmacy chain retailer in the US. We have analyzed the existing system and came up with an algorithm to identify the least profitable products.
