I am Director of Global WorkPlace Innovation for Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions since 2004. I am a recognised expert in the field of Workplace Innovation and one of the most recognised world leaders in the field.
The unique leading Global WorkPlace Innovation Programme (www.globalworkplaceinnovation.com) I manage, aims to make a fundamental research and offer applied research consulting to understanding today’s and tomorrow's workplace challenges, monitoring trends and sourcing innovative ideas and concepts, as well as systems, to improve the way we work, how we collaborate within our workplaces. I am leading annually around fifteen projects and initiatives to successful completion and disseminating the findings both internally across our global business and externally through marketing and communication activities. I have built unique networking relationships with our customers at an executive level (SVP/VP/Director of CRE/FM/WP) and actively engage with our corporate clients (more than 60 clients in FY12/13). I combine my expertise and corporate experience to transfer knowledge to my customers and the industry. I am a regular speaker to the media at both a national and international level and act as the spoke person for our business.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls, I was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of the West of England, Bristol, carrying out fundamental research on facilities innovation. My academic career started at the University of Preston in 1996 as a Lecturer in Building Management, then to Heriot Watt University as a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the largest international Master in Facilities Management for 4 years until 2002.
