  • Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe - Treasurer

    2013 - maintenant • Oversee the development and application of the Convocation's financial policies
    • Assist and act as council to the Bishop, the Council of Advice and Finance Committee in financial matters of the Convocation
    • Fiduciary responsibility for all assets, liabilities and contractual obligations of the Convocation
    • Perform a quarterly and annual review of the procedures, books and records of the Convocation. The results of this review are to be reported to the Finance Committee and Council of Advice.
    • Assist and guide the accountant
    • Responsible for the preparation of the financial reports – quarterly and annually.
    • Responsible for the presentation of the financial reports to the Bishop, Council of Advice and the Convention
    • Manage the annual review by the external auditors, working with the Assistant Treasurer and Accountant and in consultation with the Finance Committee
    o Review the recommendations of the auditors and ensures that all issues and recommendations are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Recommend to Council of Advice the selection of a bank, if necessary; sign checks, in the Bishop’s absence, and investing excess funds wisely
    • Review and manage the access to the Convocation’s funds, and any outstanding bills or debts owed, as well as develop systems for keeping cash flow manageable
    • Compare and report on the actual revenues and expenses incurred against the budget to the Finance Committee.
    • Responsible for reporting to the Bishop, Council of Advice and the Financial Committee on key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health in addition to completing required financial reporting forms in a timely fashion and making these forms available to the Council of Advice.
