Since my research experience began in 2007, my work has primarily focused on the development of tools and methods for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
MRI and biomedical technologies in general have always fascinated me because they stand at the interface between very different disciplines in science. They require broad knowledge and expertise, as well as a global vision to make real progress.
Over the years, I have been involved in the management of varied projects. I was able to explore very diverse aspects of the physics and engineering related to MRI, including the design of new hardware, pulse sequence development/sampling strategies for fast imaging, data analysis and image processing.
As a physicist, I have always been interested in taking alternate roads to solving tomorrow’s challenges for our society, in thinking different. Our most recent work aims at re-thinking and democratize MRI, moving it away from demanding siting requirements and colossal costs, and opening up a wide range of unprecedented applications.
