    2012 - 2015 Missions/projects: Ultra-narrow-band wireless sensor network modeling and optimization.

    Goals:
    • Performance analysis of ultra-narrow-band (UNB) wireless sensor network using random-FDMA scheme dedicated to Internet of things applications.
    • Interference analysis of UNB wireless sensor network using Random-FDMA scheme.
    • Interference modeling in order to theoretically evaluate and estimate the network capacity of SIGFOX.
    • Optimization of the communication protocol for such network in order to improve the link reliability.

    Achievements:
    • Experimental measurement of SDR (software-defined radio) on base-station to validate the performance.
    • System performance of UNB WSNs using R-FDMA schemes is studied.
    • Interference analysis and modeling for network capacity.
    • Interference modeling based on simplified models (Gaussian and rectangular function) were closed-form in both ideal and realistic communication channel.
    • Simplified models were extended in path-loss & Rayleigh channel.
    • System performance is evaluated & estimated by these simplified models.
    • Optimization of retransmission mechanism to improve the reliability of the wireless link.
    • Single global parameters (channel block use) for network configuration is promising for future works.
    • Technical referent between SIGFOX - CITI Lab.
    • 1 paper in IEEE TCOM international journal and 5 technical publications in the processing of international conference.

    • Implementation of a simulation software in order to determine the capacity of cables based on the measurement data of Orange Labs.

    Achievements:
    • Studying the new technology: VDSL and the implementation of VDSL technology in the existing copper telephonic network in France Telecom.

    • Design and optimization of mobile network 2G / 3G of Viettel Telecom Group in order to assure the network efficiency.

    Achievements:
    • Design of macro cells (Link budget, frequency plan and dimensioning, choosing band, a definition of azimuth and tilt and HBA, coverage simulation with planning tool Planet & Atoll).
    • Integration of new sites by doing drive test, checking physical data, BTS power measurement, azimuth and tilt adjustment).
    • Follow different procedures of sites deployments till the set on air (draft, redesign, validations of different candidates and delivering different documents.
    • Analysis and reporting of QoS for the operational management.
    • Detecting and investigate the different problems.
