EL-HAMMADIA

En résumé

I received the Engineering Degree in Electronics, Magister (MSc) and PhD degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering with higher honors from the University of M’Sila, Algeria, in 2006, 2010 and 2015 respectively. From 2010 to 2013, I was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Bordj Bou Arréridj, Algeria. Since 2013, I have been with the "Institut Algérien du Pétrole, IAP" and the National Petroleum Company, SONATRACH, where I am currently a Petrophysicist. My main research interests include signal processing, detection and estimation theory, and radar signal processing. My areas of professional interest are petrophyscis, seismic, sonic signal processing, ground penetrating radar and the development of geophysical methods for any engineering application.
I am author and co-author of more than 18 research papers in Signal Processing, Radar Signal Processing, Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Entreprises

  • Joint venture Sonatrach/Repsol/Edison/DEA - Petrophysicist

2015 - maintenant As a petrophysicist at "Groupment Reggane Nord Project", I carry out varied duties in the office and in the field as well :
    1) Office duties
    - Design optimum wireline logging programs.
    - Pre-estimate the wireline logging operations cost.
    - Analyze new and old wells to obtain maximum reconciliation of log data with cores, DST, and geological sample descriptions.
    - Quality Control (QC/QA) of wireline raw data.
    - Analyze logs, manually or using advanced software.
    - Co-ordinate log analysis for integration into reservoir evaluations and reservoir model studies.
    - Help in supervising logistics of logging, coring, testing, and lab operations.
    - Edit data (re-scale, depth shift, point edit, normalization).
    - Calculate using cutoffs : Clay volume, porosity, Water Staturation, net reservoir, net sand, net pay and predict permeability.
    - Provide many different log analysis methods.
    - Prepare multi-dimensional crossplots with X, Y, Z and W axes and different scales.
    - Create reservoir summaries.
    - Report log analysis.
    - Write final reports.
    - Follow up results and recommendations.
    2) Field duties
    - Prepare the wireline logging job before arrival to the field, and study the sample description, DST reports, core descriptions and well history after arrival.
    - Discuss well history and results to date with wellsite geologist and drilling engineer.
    - Prepare instructions for the logging engineers, based on logging program in well prognosis.
    - Discuss job details with logging engineer.
    - Monitor progress continually; check the data (repeats, scales, calibrations, logging speeds, depth control, keep records of tool failures, logging times, hole problems.)
    - Keep wellsite geologist, wellsite engineer, and drilling supervisor informed on progress and problems, and keep logging engineers informed of changing requirements and time commitments.
    - Performe preliminary log evaluation based on all available data.
    - Recommend additional logs if analysis or log quality demands more data.
  • University of Bordj Bou Arréridj, Algeria - Teaching assistant

2010 - 2012 Teaching activities and supervising BSc and MSc students.
