Current responsibilities :
August, 2012 till now: HSE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR with BMS OC Project (SONATRACH- HESS RER - PETRONAS),
Activity Descriptions:
• Managing Environmental legislative for the company and maintaining an awareness of how legislation impacts projects;
• Ensure that all activities carried out are performed in compliance with regulation and applicable environmental procedures,
• Establish a different environmental procedures for the company as environmental management plan, water & waste management plan,
• Review the main environmental procedures of contractors,
• Conducting field Environmental inspection and report any finding related to the waste management, water management, chemicals; desert protection and others
• Support different team in the project (Drilling, completion, construction & Commissioning) to identify and to manage the significant environmental aspects,
• Development of environmental procedures & best practices to manage all type of waste generated during each phase of the project and consideration of the potential contaminant sources, critical pathways and receptors that could potentially have an adverse impact on the immediate and wider environment; (example: Diesel storage tank standards, chemicals storage, opening borrow pits,..)
• Collecting data to establish a weekly & a monthly environmental reports, completion of detailed environmental reporting, written in a manner that can be understood by the management;
• Establish the annual environmental report with all detailed data & statistics and review the objectives & target of the year,
• Communicating & assisting Contractors & Subcontractors in all environmental issues,
• Undertaking field work to identify previous activities on the site and any environmental aspect & impact,
• Carry out meeting to raise staff awareness on environmental protection,
• Conduct & assisting different team in oil or chemical spill drills.
• Organize housekeeping in different locations to ensure a clean and a safe working site.
