I am a dynamic, young and highly focused person with aspirations to make a positive impact in the society and world community that we live in.
In my Bachelor of Science in Accounting program, I covered the following areas of study; corporate accounting, taxation, public accounting, governmental and not-for-profit accounting. This also prepared me to be an effective leader in business. The program addressed development of proficiency in communication and the computer application skills needed to deal with contemporary accounting issues. I also learnt to identify, analyze, and appropriately work through ethical dilemmas from a sound moral, ethical and biblical perspective.
The Advanced Diploma in Accounting covered a number of knowledge areas and their application. These included; the processing of the elements of accounting that deal with organizing, grouping, classification, and summarizing of financial transactions and activities and the subsequent production and interpretation of results. The program covered Management accounting skills, and concentrated on reporting financial information required by varying groups and individuals in a business entity, including, employees performing day to day tasks, Managers responsible for operations, and the production and presentation of reporting of financial information to external parties, such as investors, creditors, financial analysts, economists, and government agencies.
In an age where we are witnessing unprecedented changes in political, economic relations within the international “system in the modern era”, I would like to be part of an institution that will utilize all my skills and knowledge, while giving me an opportunity to participate in improving existing policies and practices, developing new policies and strategies, designed to better the welfare of our world.
