    PARIS 2008 - 2011 Responsibilities
    •Manage internal and external communication projects and platforms for CAC40 companies.
    •Produce, commission and edit web copy and feature articles for online and print mediums.
    •Consult on online communication, social media strategy, web 2.0 + 3.0, usability and SEO.
    •Work closely with in-house design teams to optimise the usability and design of web sites.
    •Translate and rewrite technical texts from French.
    •Work autonomously and in small teams under high pressure.

    oPernod Ricard: web features for spotlight brands (Ballantine’s, Beefeater, etc)
    o GDF Suez: content production and editing for InDepth magazine
    o Lafarge: Facebook and Twitter social media management

    Achievements
    •Recognised for my role managing the Facebook and Twitter accounts for Accor Hotels and the global building materials company Lafarge in a 2010 study by The Benchmark Group, which placed these companies’ social media presence in first and second position among French Top-40 companies.
    •Showed initiative through launching the WordAppeal Twitter profile and Yammer accounts, which has drastically improved internal communication.
  • Doha Asia Games Organizing Committee - Editor-in-chief Athletes' Village Newspaper

    2006 - 2007 Responsibilities
    •Conceived and developed the layout and content for the 8-page bilingual paper.
    •Negotiated with printing sub-contractors; and trained volunteer staff in newsgathering.
    •Directly responsible for coordinating content and validations, resolving workplace issues, and the daily delivery of 10,000 copies of the paper around the Village and Doha.
    •Managed sub-contractors for content production, printing and distribution.
    •Coordinated and trained volunteers to gather content and operate the information desk.

    Achievements
    •Formed and led an international team of people from diverse cultural backgrounds with a range of knowledge and skills, and in a socio-politically sensitive environment.
    •Praised by Village directors for my cool-headed approach under high pressure.
  • Victoria Police - Journalist, Internet content editor and communications advisor

    2004 - 2006 Responsibilities
    •Produced and edited news and feature articles for flagship external publications and The Gazette on subjects including terrorism and south-east Asian tsunami reconstruction.
    •Responded to media requests and trained police to handle media.

    Achievements
    •Created and inaugurated a staff exchange programme between police communications departments in Australia (Victoria Police), Sweden (RPS), and New York (NYPD) to research best practices in internal and online communications and media.
    •Worked as a police/media liaison officer at venues during the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
    •Pioneered the role of Internet Content Editor following the 2005 site redesign.
  • Phnom Penh Post - Reporter (internship)

    2004 - 2004 •Wrote news, briefs and features, and took photographs for the fortnightly paper, including articles on a political assassination, landmine policies, and wildlife smuggling.
    •Learned to work in a tightly resourced office and in a culturally diverse team.
