With Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), customers implement solutions faster and
operate them at lower cost and adopt ITIL application management. SAP Solution Manager is
the tool platform for ALM which provides integrated content, tools, services and methodologies
our customers need to manage their SAP solutions during the complete life-cycle.
As Solution Architect for Application Lifecycle Management I consult SAP customers on
the implementation of their ALM and IT Service Management processes in SAP Solution
Manager. I assess the customer’s ALM and ITSM processes according to a standard
procedure and develop a blueprint, roadmap, engagement and service plan for the
implementation of these processes in SAP Solution Manager.
To delivery these assessment services and also other related ALM services, like pilot setups,
I focus on one or more of the following topics: Change Control Management, Application
Incident Management, Technical Operations, Business Process Operations and Custom Code.
