Stephen PREECE

A professional teacher with extensive experience in both classroom teaching and administration. Possess outstanding motivational skills, specialised in secondary education, Visual Arts and Theory of Knowledge. Has experience of teaching all age ranges from 6-60 years of age across 2 continents and 3 countries. Stephen is also a practicing artist.

He works to pursue a vision of a world where all people, regardless of geography, background or economic status, enjoy and employ the full range of their talents and abilities. ALLMIND’S mission is to advance systemic educational change to its community of learners and beyond by investing in, connecting and celebrating the skills of its learning community.

ALLMINDS invests in empowering the learner to fulfill their own potential whilst addressing a broad array of critical social issues: tolerance and human rights, health, environmental sustainability, economic and social equity, institutional responsibility, and peace and security.
It sets a platform of learning that is:

1 Confidence building ALLMINDS develops the learners’ understanding of and confidence in self.
2 Practical ALLMINDS believes that life is practical and so is most learning. Its teaching is geared towards practical exercises and when theory is involved, it is applied in real and concrete ways.
3 Enjoyable Without pleasure what is the point in life? Without pleasure learning becomes a burden. Educational research suggests that we learn best in stress free positive environments whilst engaged upon tasks which are achievable.
4 Comprehensive We believe that both the body and mind need to be in balance and that physical exercise is a major ingredient in well-being. A healthy lifestyle has been proven to
encourage intellectual development and better performance.
5 Forward looking In times of change, it has never been more important to create flexible and creative learning environments for all.
6 Inclusive ALLMINDS believes that no two learners will learn in exactly the same way. We aim to cater for all learning styles.
7 Holistic The human being is not dividable but should be educated as a whole being. Holistic learning is systematically supported by a clear pedagogy. We, at ALLMINDS, also encourage the learner to take the time to reflect upon their own thoughts because we believe that ultimately those thoughts are who s/he is.
8 Flexible Because no two learners are the same ALLMINDS has to be flexible in its approach to teaching. ALLMINDS does not believe in the one size fits all approach to teaching. We prefer to focus on learning differences rather than learning difficulties.
9 Ongoing Once learners find what it is they are passionate about then they have no problem finding the motivation to practice and learn. ALLMINDS aims to help each learner discover their passion which is the key to unlocking their true potential.
10 Systematic The leader in the process of learning has to be the learner and the objective for ALLMINDS is to empower the learner in all of us. It is the coaches’ job to mentor this process through systematic and holistic learning.
11 Creative Progress stems from original solutions to real problems. It is becoming increasingly apparent that creativity can bring economic rewards as well as personal fulfilment. Creativity is a quantifiable form of intelligence and it is at the centre of all learning and practical activity at ALLMINDS.
