En résumé

I have been working in the media as a journalist since 2005 when I began working on a freelance basis for a local music magazine in Sheffield where I was attending University.

From 2008 until 2010 I lived and worked in Beijing, China. I returned to Europe in 2010 and I am now based in Paris, France.

I have a strong personal interest in the environment and particularly the development of related consumer technologies and governmental policies; interests which I pursue professionally through my current position as the environmental journalist in the news wire organization Relaxnews.

My international experience, time spent in China and my current position in Paris have given me a broad international outlook, highly developed problem solving skills and the ability to work either autonomously or as part of a team.

In addition I am currently working to improve my French language skills.

    2010 - maintenant Working at Relaxnews I am responsible for producing a wide range of articles on consumer relevant environmental issues, including events such as Earth Hour; as well as household consumption topics such as home design and internet/tech trends.

    2009 - 2010 Working on a freelance basis I contributed monthly articles, reviews and profiles on events relating to fashion and contemporary culture, as well as feature pieces regarding issues in today’s society.

    2009 - 2010 Working on a freelance basis for this Beijing based magazine, I contributed regular articles and reviews on a variety of subjects, including nightlife, entertainment and dining.

    2009 - 2010 Contributing bi-weekly news articles to this Beijing based magazine summarizing events in China.

  • City Weekend Magazine Beijing - Stagiaire

    2009 - 2010 A three month writing and editing internship for this Beijing based magazine.
    Duties included submission of articles, interviews and research.
    Co-wrote the cover article of City Weekend Beijing October 1st-21st.

    2008 - 2009 Duties included: teaching children aged 3-6, developing all aspects of the English course, ensuring effective communication between different departments within the school. In addition I also conducted private tutoring.

  • Radio Coma - Journaliste pigiste

    2005 - 2007 Duties working for this local Sheffield based music magazine included: sourcing, interviewing and reviewing artists, communicating with promoters and music labels. Ensuring the continuation of good relations between advertisers in the magazine and the sourcing of new clients in order to maintain and increase revenue.
