Paris2014 - 2017My PhD was focused on designing optical logic gates based on structural asymmetry of the 2D metallic cavities. I have systematically studied by non-linear photon luminescence microscopy, which has proved to be an efficient tool to observe the surface plasmon local density of states (SPLDOS), the parameter space of the effects that could potentially affect the plasmonic resonances. The dependence of SPLDOS on the asymmetry of the structure gives us different logic gate outputs on excitation at one end of the structure. I have already been able to realize 10 out 12 possible logic gate operation on single metallic cavity based on gedenken experiments.
During these projects I gained experiences on various fabrication and characterization systems like Non linear photon luminescence microscopy, Leakage Radiation Microscopy, Atomic Force microscopy, Pulsed Laser Deposition, E-Beam Lithography, Plasma Etcher, Scanning electron microscopy, Focussed Ion beam milling, XRD, UV-Vis Spectrometer, Dark field scattering microscopy, etc. and also got familiar with clean room environment.
I completed my PhD from University Paul Sabatier in Novemeber. The experiments, simulations and analysis were carried out at the research labs at CEMES-CNRS.
