At the end of 1997, Vanessa Suchar had an idea. As a young French woman passionate about art, she realized that the contemporary art scene needed something new. She saw that many people, although interested, shied away from contemporary art. New artists and innovative works were sometimes difficult to interpret, galleries were intimidating, and many people feared they would need substantial amounts to buy what pleased their eye.

Thus was born Le Salon for Art Collectors, an inventive way to share with everybody the beauty and meaning of contemporary art. Le Salon for Art Collectors showcases international emerging artists in private homes, an ideal setting that helps break through the many barriers surrounding contemporary art.

Le Salon provides a comfortable learning environment, while letting art-enthusiasts imagine how a piece of art would look in their own house. Prices are affordable and clearly marked, and the atmosphere is without the pressures of a gallery.

Vanessa curates four to five exhibitions per year in various environments, which always have a home-like and cozy feel. She works with a stable of artists from all over the world, and many of her artists have grown from local to international notoriety. Her love of traveling allows her to discover artists globally, including Malaysia, Sweden and New York. Vanessa seeks new artists wherever she goes.

Le Salon for Art Collectors has allowed Vanessa to fulfill her passion for art, and has proven that contemporary art has beauty and significance for young investors. Currently, Vanessa curates shows mainly in London, but also in Paris, New York, Rome and soon Brussels.
