  • AIG - Chef de Projet

    COURBEVOIE 2013 - maintenant Working in Finance, implementing systems and workflows to support the strategic goals of reducing risk through enhanced controls, standardising operating procedures across all jurisdictions, and reducing costs.
    • Deployed Docushare throughout the Finance department in AIG so that it became the workflow tool of choice, facilitating distributed working between local countries, regional HQs and off-shore centres in India and Hungary. Also implemented for other departments, i.e. created a shared repository for rance HR team and the local Workers’ Council to exchange confidential papers;
    • Rolled out Concur to more than 30 branches, facilitating standardised expense reporting whilst customising only where absolutely necessary to meet local regulatory requirements;
    • Managed the annual cycle to set up cost centre structures in all major corporate general ledger systems. This entailed close liaison with other departments such as HR for payroll systems, and Operations for vendor systems.
  • AIG Europe SA - Project Manager

    2010 - 2012 Joined a newly formed structure in Finance to put in place standardised procedures across the region and improve the underlying quality of data being used to produce the quarterly results.
    • Led project to outsource and off-shore the work of a business unit – European Intercompany – to India a team also took on additional duties to make complex journal entries on behalf of all European branches. Introduced a tightly controlled workflow which improved the quality of the bookings and saved time during key reporting cycles;
    • Co-ordinated project to align cost centre structure across 47 reporting offices – this was a pre-requisite to setting up a unified reporting and budget structure for the company. Once in place, co-ordinated the alignment of the full chart of accounts across the region;
    • Introduced Docushare to the Finance HQ. It has become the workflow tool of choice in the Region.

  • AIG Entrepreneur - Senior Business Analyst

    2008 - 2009 An internal start-up which delivered web based trading for broker partners in the SME segment across Continental Europe. The platform offered full policy lifecycle, claims processing and premium payment facilities.
    • Co-ordinated work with 3rd Party IT supplier (Accenture). Improved relationship leading to a more professional engagement whilst managing expectations and frustrations of the AIG team;
    • managed interim software releases such as customising renewal functionality or launch of niche products such as small retail (€ 0-3m turnover) in Spain;
    • Led the evaluation of an alternative Franco-Tunisian software house (Protegys) with a view to replacing the existing IT platform and off-shore support team.
  • Chubb Insurance - Senior Business Analyst

    1997 - 2008 Recruited into an expanding IT department to support an aggressive push into Continental Europe – 3 main roles as follows:

    High Net Worth Personal Lines
    Customised in-house Homeowner system for German, French, Spanish and Belgian markets. Facilitated conversion from manual systems in France and Germany, doubling the size of the account in both countries in the first year;
    European Claims
    Established business rules for web service to display real time claims information in underwriting front end system for the UK;
    Internal Consulting
    Secondment to Chubb Asia Pacific to investigate functional requirements for replacing regional underwriting system, evaluating and scoring the relative merits of Chubb European platform and a 3rd party supplier from China (e-Bao).
  • Sherwood International - PRe-Sales Support

    1995 - 1999 Headed up pre-sales support team and served as lead business analyst on deployments of a licensed 3rd party general insurance system for a leading IT provider.

    • Worked with third party to customise product for UK market;
    • Worked with sales team to provide system demonstrations to leading UK general insurers;
    • Worked with Methodist Insurance to implement system across their product portfolio (Homeowners / SMEs and Churches);
    • Worked with another potential client to design a product for Yacht insurance
