    Job responsibilities: Liaison between the Fleet Project Officer and the technical disciplines involved in a project, under the authority of the Fleet Director. The Fleet Project Engineer is also often the primary technical point of contact for the project partners. He is in charge of the overall quality control of the work.
    The Fleet Project’s Engineer’s responsibilities include resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. He ensures projects are completed according to project plans.
    He completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project technical elements.
    Job duties:  Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.  Interprets client’s requirements  Reviews bids from contractors  Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates  May have to confirm product/installation performance by designing and/or conducting tests  Identifies engineering problems and ensures solutions are implemented  Liaises with third party contractors to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose  Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, recommending actions  Controls project costs by approving expenditures  Prepares project status reports by collecting and analyzing information and trends, recommending actions.

    Marseille 2007 - 2011 Deck officer :
    -assists mooring and anchoring of the vessel as directed by the Master
    -keeps watches at sea and in port as directed by the Master
    -assists the Chief Officer in the management of cargo handling operations while in port as directed by the Master
    -performs security duties as may be required by the Ship Security Plan
    -acts as nominated officer for GMDSS check and tests, and for completing GMDSS log book.
    -is responsible for correcting and maintaining the charts and nautical publications carried on board (hard and soft copies)
    -prepares passage plans under the direction of the Master
    -Is responsible for maintenance of safety equipment under the direction of the Chief Officer
    -is responsible for giving safety tour and instructions to crew and passengers
    -is responsible for carrying out the checks and tests of all safety equipment as required by flag states and international regulations and by vessel maintenance system.

    Engineer :
    -assists in the execution of engine maintenance as required by the Planned Maintenance Program under the direction of the second engineer
    -responsibility inter alia for the following:
     Aux. engine and aux. engine equipment
     Aux. boiler / exhaust gas boiler / steam plant
     Safety equipment - emergency generator
     Remote valves
     Lifeboat engine
     Main engine
     emergency fire pump
     fire pumps & fire main
     Bunkering and transfer systems under the Chief Engineer supervision
     HFO. & MDO. Purifiers and HFO. & MDO. system
     fresh water system
